Savory Moment was founded as Month of Meals in 1999 by Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef Kay Conley. Her passion for superior ingredients, fresh herbs, and flavor-filled dishes delighted her customers and family. She developed gluten-free recipes according to these same high standards for quality, freshness, and flavor.
Gail Kurpgeweit, owner and founder of the Taste of Amazing Baking & Catering Company and a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute program, purchased Savory Moment, Inc. on May 1, 2011. Together the companies provide an extensive menu of chef-prepared meals, baked goods, and catering services, including a gluten-free, and gluten-free/dairy-free line.
Gail Kurpgeweit opened her first Italian restaurant in 1990 in downtown Spokane, followed by a career in the consulting industry focused on business management and marketing. In 2010 Gail decided to return to her love of cooking and baking by enrolling in culinary school and starting a gourmet cupcake business. She named the company "Taste of Amazing" because of the response she received from so many of her friends, family, and customers after trying her delectable creations. From there, the menu offerings expanded to offer custom wedding and special occasion cakes, pies, cheesecakes, and other desserts, as well as a selection of gourmet entrees and full Personal Chef catering services. Gail has three daughters, and lives with her family in the Issaquah Highlands where she is very active in the community. She regularly volunteers at Pacific Cascade Middle School, on behalf of the Issaquah Schools Foundation and Soma Community Church, and coaches basketball for Issaquah Parks and Recreation. |
